Summer Time Fun at Linn Post

The Linn Post & Pipe team is busy this summer! Join us for some fun at the annual Linn ‘Summer Time Fun’ Picnic on July 12th and 13th. We’ll also be showcasing at multiple state fairs and ag shows this summer and fall. Check out our busy summer schedule and let us know if we’ll be seeing you at a show or event!

At the annual Linn Picnic, there are plenty of activities that can spark the interest of anyone attending. 

Friday, July 12th Activities

To kick off the Summer Time Fun festivities on Friday, July 12th, take the kids to Linn City Park. There will be a petting zoo and multiple business-sponsored kids games. Then fuel up at the pulled pork supper before heading to the ball diamonds to watch the Co-ed Slow Pitch Softball Tournament. It begins at 6:30pm and games will be played on the North Ball Diamond. It costs $200 per team to participate. Then, end the night at the Sing-Along Bingo and Street Dance Party featuring Dave Lewis.

Saturday, July 13th Activities

Events on Saturday, July 13th starts at 7:00am with the “Summer Time Fun” 5K Run/Walk. There will also be a breakfast at the same time in the East Shelter House. Starting at 8:00am, games will also continue for the Co-ed Slow Pitch Softball Tournament. Kids can grab their fishing poles for the Youth Fishing Tournament taking place from 9:00am through 10:30am. Then at 10:00am, the Creamery Museum opens to the public and the Vendor Fair begins. After a busy morning, take a break with the German Meal at 11:00am. 

Saturday afternoon starts with the Corn Hole Tournament which begins at noon on the basketball court. Registration begins at 11:30am and costs $30 per team. From noon through 4:00pm, enjoy free swim at the city pool before the “Summer Time Fun” parade begins at 4:30pm. Bounce Houses are open from 5:00pm through 9:00pm in the city park and you can show off your skills during the Goat Roping event at 5:00pm. Residents can enjoy Powerwheels at 6:15pm before ending the day with the Demolition Derby at 6:30pm.

North Dakota State Fair – July 19-27th

The 2024 North Dakota State Fair takes place in Minot, North Dakota. The Fair has carnival rides, agricultural expositions, government and commercial exhibitions and a variety of musical and performance entertainment. As the largest event in the state, it draws an average of 300,000 people. It is an ever-growing event that takes pride in all that it holds from competitive exhibits all the way to entertainers. Linn Post & Pipe is excited to share what we do for rural ranchers at this fun event.

Dakotafest Farm Show – August 20-22nd

At Dakotafest, they strive to create a community of hard-working farmers and ranchers that can come together to network, learn and grow their farming and livestock operations. That is right up Linn Post & Pipe’s alley! Taking place in Mitchell, South Dakota, Dakotafest provides one place to showcase agriculture-focused products, services and technologies from over 500 exhibitors. There will be live product demonstrations, smart and insightful educational sessions and fun family activities to not only help farmers grow but also to celebrate farming and the rural lifestyle.

Sunbelt Ag Expo – October 15-17th

The Sunbelt Ag Expo is an agricultural-based trade show held at Spence Field in Moultrie, Ga. Known as “North America’s Premier Farm Show”®. It hosts 1,200 commercial exhibitors with over 4,000 product lines that feature the latest goods and services, technological savvy, and labor-saving devices. At Linn Post, we love connecting with people as passionate about making life easier for ranchers as we are. Unique to the Expo is the 600-acre working research farm where manufacturers and dealers can demonstrate their latest developments. You are invited to take a front-row seat and see the most innovative products and cutting-edge technology in the marketplace. A multitude of free seminars and demonstrations featuring some of the agricultural industry’s top experts are also offered during the Expo. This is a unique opportunity for the show’s attendees to gain additional insight into the present and future of the farming industry from renowned experts.
